Women in Data Science

UNC Charlotte’s Data Science Initiative successfully hosted the second annual Women in Data Science (WiDS) at the Ritz-Carlton in Charlotte, NC the afternoon of March 26, 2019. This half-day event featured several keynote speakers, a panel discussion, and an evening networking/cocktail reception. Our networking reception allowed the opportunity for students, academics, corporate professionals and leaders from Charlotte non-profits groups supporting women and diversity to mingle and grow connections into meaningful relationships.

Charlotte WiDS is an independent event organized by UNC Charlotte’s WiDS Ambassador to Stanford University’s Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference held at Stanford University and an estimated 150 locations worldwide. All genders are invited to attend WiDS regional events, which feature outstanding women doing outstanding work.
